Great science education stuff from friends of Cosm

Here are some of great organisations, people and projects that Ben Gilliland has worked with over the years. They are so good that Cosm is working with them still.

Visit these pages often because new stuff will constantly added and they are all projects that - whether teacher or parent - you can use to make science more exciting and accessible to your students, children and even yourself.

ISSET: The International Space School Education Trust

Cosm is a huge fan of the work ISSET does. They have extensive links within the space community and especially with Nasa. Their aim is to utilise space and space exploration to bring science to life within the classroom and extend interest in science to outside the classroom.

Richard Garriott: Computer game pioneer and private astronaut

Richard Garriott, famed video game developer, followed in his father’s footsteps in 2008 and launched onboard a Russian Soyuz spacecraft to the International Space Station. Richard’s father Owen Garriott is a former NASA astronaut who completed two space missions during his career. British-born, Richard was the the first second generation Astronaut in space. As part of a MetroCosm competition, he took with him experiments designed by Cosm readers.
