[update: How the world's men measure up!]

When the story 'The (un)natural world of sex' appeared in the Metro newspaper this morning, I erroneously described the average human male penis as being about 7inches... in reality the average human male penis (depending on the source) is between 5in and 7in, but is usually quoted as being 5.5 inches.

I would like to apologise to anyone who has been made to feel inadequate by my (ahem) inflation of the figures. If I'd paused to think about it, personal experience alone should have informed me otherwise (even my wife, when she read it, exclaimed 'seven inches! That's huge!'.

I would also like to apologise to all those 'well-endowed' men out there who were made to feel a little less 'cocky' this morning!
